About me
My name is Jaroslav, and Mountain Joy started from one thing — a love for the mountains. I began more than fifteen years ago on a ridge hike in the Low Tatras with an terribly heavy backpack. Despite the suffering, the mountains became my second home. Fresh mountain air, endless views, and silence give me a sense of peace and fulfilment.
At first it was just hiking, then came climbing, and eventually running and ski mountaineering too. As my experience grew, I felt the urge to go further. In 2024 I became an international UIMLA mountain guide — a dream fulfilled, and a door opened to share this passion with others.
What I enjoy most is the moment when we stand on the summit together, look back, and know that every step, however demanding, was worth it. Come with me to discover the magic of the mountains and share unforgettable adventures.
For me, guiding in the mountains is more than work — it is sharing a passion that has shaped my whole life.
… Mountains teach us discipline, perseverance, and teamwork — qualities that carry over into everyday life. – Conrad Anker
